But what about the compressor speed signal?
There is no equivalent sensor on the earlier compressor, and the later control head won't operate without this signal. More than wiring involved. Have you done it? I know both systems very well, and short of swapping in a later compressor (meaning custom lines, brackets and who knows what else) I see no way of doing it. I really want to know how it was done.

Its Kaz, the guy that has black CQ fully converted to S2...
The car that was featured in European car mag last summer. I haven't seen it in person, but I talked to him on a phone few times about that - he said it was too much trouble and now not even worth to him - his new CC unit died

Do you know what the CC head is expecting from the speed sensor? (Except for the fact that if the compressor freezes you may be SOL) You might be able to fool the control head. I'd really like to know as I think I am having an intermittent speed sensor problem but I'm not sure. Does anyone know how to reset the HVAC fault codes? TIA.
