I finally decided to set up a set of dedicated snows, and these are some of the best I've even used, so... but other suggestions are accepted.

Default FWIW, wr's are all season, good choice though....

I ran a set on my 90 and the ones currently on the coupe, deffinatly more then enough snow traction for the pnw.

Default yeah... My dad's been running them on his avant for years, worked great.

it's hard to balance a tire that is used most days in the city at sea level with no snow, but lots of rain and some ice. And then have the same tire rage it up to Baker every couple of days in several feet of snow. The WR's (and NRW's previously) fit the bill pretty well. But $$$...

Default Emre... RSi's are technically a better tire than the WR BUT not the solution for everyone...

They wear much quicker in situations where there is no snow or ice (which is what they are really designed for) so suggesting these tires to everyone is not a good idea. If you have snow in your area but also see pavement quite a bit in your climate you are better of with WR's... if you see more snow/ice than pavement then RSi's are the better choice.

I sell these tires now and every one of my distributors agree with me

Default Where are you located? All local shops are saying a week plus to get them from the warehouse...

Plus nobody has quoted me a price yet... Only found one ($$$) place online so far that will give me a price and has them in stock.

Default Very wrong. They will wear when the temprature rises above 50 degrees, but...

...but dry conditions does NOT effect tread wear the way you are saying/thinking it does. It's only snowed 3-4 times this winter where I am, and I have done about 7,000 miles with VERY little wear (even with a bad align form Sears).
