Default

I'd say leave it but you'll need 4 hands putting the head back on

Default hmm..

You could drill it out and re-tap it. I would drill a small hole in the center of the bolt and then wedge somethign in the hole that is tight enough for me to get vice grips and turn it out.

Default It's not a bolt. It's a hollow pin to align the head, but if i try to use an extractor it is going..

to be tighter in the block/head

Default They are not necessary....

They only help a ton in holding the headgasket in place while you position the head. Just make sure the head gasket is lined up properly before plopping the head down on. I had this happen on a Windstar headgasket job I did on the rear of the block, which is damn near under the cowl of the minivan. It was a bitch getting that sucker lined up right.
