head unit...problems
I purchased a Pioneer head unit (DEH-P5450). Additional info about the unit can be found here

Anyway I installed it, soldered the wiring nicely and then it won't play CDs. You put in the CD and it cuts out. One person has said it won't work properly without a acc. wire which the 1990 audi 90Q 20v doesn't. Any ideas?
I am going to get a multimeter tonight and check the voltage's. I might replace thw riring.
On another note what is the adaptor I need for the aerial!?? I need to buy one, and a 15A fuse!
Cheers
Aaron

thats BS
it should work fine, why did you solder, a harness would of worked better and more efficent.
also there are only 5 power lines needed, power/and 4 speakers, then antenna and ground.
thats it.

Hey Aaron......
First, don't worry about the ACC wire not being there in the car... all you have to do is to hook up the ACC wire, the 12V (yellow) wire (both of those are coming from the deck, to the 12v wire that is providing power to the deck from the car (I think it's blue and red if I'm not mistaken)
The Cd should not cut anything out if the deck is on.
