How do I check my radiator fan resistor pack to see if it's why my rad fans only work on high speed?

Check the Bentley Manual electrical schematics and look to the circuits...
for the fan's operation. There is a way of jumping power to the unit for testing in both speeds. Or....turn your AC on, the high fan speed should kick in automatically.

The high speed works fine (turns on with a/c also)... it's the low speed that doesn't come on.
I've replaced the thermo switch, fan relays, and tested for low speed fan operation by jumping the thermo switch... so at this point I'm pretty sure it's the resistor. I went ahead and bought a used resistor and installed it yesterday but I think I may have bought a bum resistor because now I have no fans at all!
Just want to see if there's a way to test the resistor pack before I spend more money on parts that don't work.
