Default How do I check the rear diff fluid level?

I've got a leak that I just noticed and the back end has been feeling funny, so I need to make sure it's not dry. The bentley says to look in the fill plug. What tools do I need to do this? Is it as easy as checking the engine oil or do I have to take things apart?

Default Yes, I read that, but it just says "add new oil through fill plug"

it doesn't say how to physically do this. physically, what do i need to do to add more oil through the fill plug. is it as simple as getting under my car with an allen wrench and taking the plug off? or is it more difficult and requires removal of parts to get to it?

Default Fill plug is on the side, stick your finger in the hole and feel for oil...

I think the plug is just a female hex plug.
