Default I have a rattlin' tie rod

I went in for an alignment, but they couldn't do it because the tie rod on the driver's side needs to be replaced. Since then I've been getting a rattling from that area, seems to have gotten worse/more frequent as well.

So my questions are how concerned should I be and what can I do to "fix" it until the new tie rod comes in?

Is that something simple enough I can tighten up myself in the meantime?

Default maybe, see the nut on the shaft of the tie rod end may not be tightened down all the way

1. because the shaft was spinning or 2. because the threads get all mucked up. If its #1, maybe, if #2...no, just get a new end or in my opinion, new rod assembly. If #1 though, you can tell because the nut come on and off easy and right about when it should be tightened 90% the shaft and nut will just spin spin spin. You can place a piece of 2x4 wood under the knunckle and give it some pressure then try to tighten slowly...air tools help as well, but tighten like that. If it keeps spinning, jack it more and try.

Default Gotcha

I have a new tie rod assembly on the way, but won't be able to have it put in until nest Sat. Guess I'll see what I can do over the weekend to tighten it up.
