i just got a stebro off a guy used, when i put it on should i get high flow cats? also...

my car backfires when i downshift sometimes, especially when its cold, what is doing this? pop pop, i hate that noise

if its only when cold, i'd think an obstruction could do that. i know that the 5kq does that, and it has a bad rear "can" on it. only run high flow cats if you have a lot of work done to the engine (Cams, ported IM, EM, Head, different MAFS, cone or foam filter, etc etc). otherwise you'll just be sacrificing your lower end grunt.

on my 95 90q. It'll actually poped more with the increased flow. There wasn't much of a HP difference if i remember correctly. I only upgraded because one of my cats was blown.

i can tell you how i feel about my old stebro
i like it, its a bit heavy in the rear "can", and if its not hung correctly it will eat through hangers pretty quick. other than that, its not that loud, ok it kinda is, and it still looks good after 3 years of midwest weather (which currently resembles a cold seattle).
