Identify the Bolt Size?
Hey All,
Been a long-time AudiWorld reader, but haven't ever posted before.
I have a 1988 Audi 90 Quattro which in the last few weeks started to lose power from the alternator. After all the snowfall from this past weekend, the alternator finally just stopped working, and when I investigated it, I found that the pivot bolt which holds the alternator in place and allows for the adjustment of belt tension was missing!
I'm going to go out and buy a new one, but I was wondering if anyone knows what size bolt I will need. I don't have a repair manual and don't really want to waste time trying to guess. Anyone know?
Thanks!

Thanks! That diagram is very helpful, though I ended up just using a size 7 hex bolt. I might get the right thing now that I know the part number, though. It was 13 and 14 on the diagram that I needed, not 12, so I don't think it was anything too special.
