Default ignition switch / #5 load reduction relay tip:

i just got my '90q out of storage (been there for 4 years) and the windows were dead, climate controll was dead, sun roof, flasher unit yada yada. tell tale signs of a ignition switch right? my '91 CQ & '88 90q had the same issues and the $10 ignition switch was to blame. needless to say i was to lazy actually check the wiring. got my switch in, popped it in - still had like 6 dead fuses. got on shop key and printed out every wiring diagram and it looked like the #5 load reduction relay would be a good place to check. popped the cover off and found one bad solder connection, both contacts were burnt out, the secondary contact was taking all of the current. found a matching relay in my tool box - problem solved. just thought i would share. sometimes even the most obvious problems aren't that obvious.
