Im confused. I thought torsen was exclusive to Audi?

Default I'm pretty sure subbys use fluid diffs

using multiple clutch plates that are very close together. When slipping occurs the extra rotational speed heats up the fluid in the diff and expands the clutch plates to where they touch each other engaging 4wd. Horrendous design if you ask me...

4Runner uses Torsen center diff with 40/60 split.

Default I know the toyota 4x4 trucks where using them in...

some there trucks with shift on the fly technology and if you had big bucks you could get them installed in old chevy blazers with full time 4x4 with the 3rd diff from a after market supplier

yes I agree and so does a hummer, but its a 90deg type
