Default I'm in for it now - just bought a '91 CQ over the weekend.

It has been very well maintained over the last 6 years by the previous owner and he has had most major components replaced over the years. The "bomb" needs to be replaced, but there is a guy close to me in Colorado that rebuilds them for a reasonable amount. There are a few minor console lights out, but other than that the car is nearly flawless inside and out. Hopefully it remains fairly reliable!

I don't have pics yet, but I will soon. I'm sure I'll be around more asking questions, etc. as I get more aquanted with this car in the coming months. But I'm loving it so far and it's a nice change of pace from my tired old 4000 quattro.

Default where in Colorado are you located?

I'm in Denver.. maybe you could let me know who does "bomb" rebuilds. I usually go to Sterling Service for just about anything- they're a great independent shop for Audis here in town, but a bit pricey at times.

TIA

Been a subscriber for awhile - in fact that's how I found out about the car.

Default I'm in Parker, the guy is in Castle Rock

His name is Russ Southerlin and you can find his email address on 20v.org in Problem & Fixes &gt; Brake & Brake & Hydraulic Problems (<a href="http://www.20v.org/brakprob.htm">http://www.20v.org/brakprob.htm</a>). Although he charges about $10 more than the $50 mentioned on that web page.

I plan on trying to get together with him in the next few weeks and he may help me install the rebuilt unit as well. Another person I know with a CQ might be interested in replacing his as well, maybe if we get the three of us together we can do them all at the same time. I don't have a garage anymore, so I'm hoping to "borrow" someone elses garage to do it.

I plan on using Parker Audiworks for my service in the future. They did some work on my 4000 a few weeks ago and they seemed like good people. Nice to know that I have a dedicated Audi mechanic close to me.
