Default intermittent starting problem 93 90cs

About once a week for the past 2 months, I've been having some trouble starting. It cranks buyt won't turn over. Until today it would eventually start after 7-10 tries. And every now and then the check engine light comes on and then goes off after a few seconds. Today it just wouldn't turn over. After towing to the shop, it started on the first try. The shop says the fuel pump is fine, there are no problem codes, and they don't know what is wrong. Any ideas? The shop wants to try replacing the cam shaft sensor?

Default could be the cam sensor...

if that doesn't slove the problem you might want to have a fuel pressure test done.
