Default Man, that was clumbsy...and stupid....

I was putting momo pedals on my car and when I went to put the gas pedal on I had to kind of bend it out towards me to reach behind it and put the nut on for the lower fastening screw of the new pedal. Obviously I pulled a bit too hard -- the original plastic pedal snapped off the arm.

Anyway, forget about how it happened...soffice to say that I feel pretty stupid. What can I do about it? It looks like the pedal and the arm are designed to be one piece. Can anybody confirm this and/or offer solutions?

Default Re: Nick might have one? Nick? I looked at the Bentley pic of the pedal assembly

courtesy of GreenDoh...but it shows a screw where one does not exist in my specimen. In other words, I don't know how it comes apart.

The parts marked #10 are plastic items which are
held into the aluminum pedal housing by tangs.

There like a half arrow tangs. You basically got to push the tangs inward and pull the plastic pieces out of the mount. You can see the 2 tangs on the left piece.

With a small mirror you can place on the back of the #10 items and see how their held inplace.

First ya got to remove the lower kick panel above your knees(5).

4 screws (1 & 2) hold it inplace.

Plus disconnect the airbag wire(3&4)

Default Hey.. Sorry been busy ..............(edited)

I actually don't have a pedal (Threw out the assembly and recyled the aluminum for 35cents per pound- didn't think anyone was going to buy it), but if you want one, I can have one for you for $25, that's the assembly that the pedal is on. I have access to about 25 different 80 and 90 model cars, so let me know if you need anything at all..

Cheers... *clink*

Okay, so I see how the assembly works, but it shows that the pedal itself is seperable. It shows the pedal and a screw of some sort, which doesn't exist on my assembly...that's weird. I think that I will need to replace the entire assembly then.

Got your email as well, thanks! It looks like I will need the gas pedal assembly as depicted in MikTip's post of the Bentley illustration. So that includes the arm, pedal, etc.
