mik, or anyone else that can help...

im almost done with the tranny swap...just one thing holding me up...the drive shaft..i cant get it off the rear diff...i havent disconnected it on the tranny side because there are two stripped bolts..i was gonna go take the tranny out with the drive shaft connected...can i do that? if so how..and how the hell does this drive shaft come out?

with an angle grinder, cut the stripped bolts off and get new ones....

they are only like $2 each dealer

re-head!

get a dremel, and make a new head fo the bolts- if they are allen, you can cut a big slot in them. If not, clean up the corners and try a size smaller!

The bolts that hold the propshaft at the flanges are cap head allens...

There is a gasket/vib. damper ring that goes between the p-shaft and the flanges at both ends. Other than that, should be pretty easy to drop it from the car. 14 bolts in total (6 per flange, plus two for the carrier bearing/support).
