Miktip question about Apexi?
I remeber that you put the Apexi AFC on your car. My roomate has one on his Prelude and he said that he would give it to me because he is going for the AEM stand alone unit. I have a 96 A4 12v and was wondering if I could get this to work on my car without any problems. Also I will be able to use a dyno to tune it? I guess my main question is if I install it on my car is anything going to go crazy?

Re: Miktip question about Apexi?
No, nothing will go crazy if you do it correct. Make sure you pick your signal wires properly. We (roommate and I) spent a while tracking down wires in his '95 90q12v (same engine as your A4q12v) to get a good signal for everything.
Getting it to work properly was tricky, rather interesting settings were used, and its not much use below 1400rpm, readings were way off below that for RPM. He hasn't had time to tie into the MAF wires yet, so his isn't tuned.

Re: Apexi
Basically your totally on your own! Because the Apexi has no documentation for an Audi!
It gives you an idea of where the individual wires need to "tap' into to work. Then you'll have to figure out each individual wire going to your ECU, to hook it up correctly. Then its still may not work, because the Audi voltages may be to small or great for the unit to work properly! ;o)
Its a gamble, which may pay well or leave ya broke!
I'm suprised no other A4 owners have one?

They probably don't want to try hooking it up...
You HAVE to be good friends with your DMM and motor wiring harness. Otherwise, you be screwed.

Re: What the heck is an apexi AFC?????
Apex International Super-Air/Fuel Controller.
Tricks the ECU into thinking it needs to supply more fuel. Comes in handy when you run bigger cams, ported head(s), etc and need more fuel, or need to not have the Check-Engine light on (it should keep it from coming on, in my estimates).
