mirror repairs
both my mirrors move up/down but not in/out, you can hear the motor clicking when trying to move in/out so i guess the splines or teeth are shot. can i replace myself if i get doner parts from the "scrappys" has anyone had the same problem.

A note on Mirrors...
Most every passenger car rear view power mirror made
uses the same motor/drive unit in the mirror housing as every other car out there.
Example: I had a Porsche 944, and when I needed to replace the module in teh mirror (same problem as you) I went to the bone yard and got the guts out of a 1989 Peugeot mirror. I also noted that Ford Escort was the same exact unit.
