there are a few issues. Nothing major but just looking for a little help. First, where it usually lights up "ok" on the digital face in the speedo head, it just has a "52" displayed. Is this a falt code, and if so what does it mean.
Second, The kid that had it just replaced the batt and alt, and the car still does not charge. You guys mentioned that this might be a ground strap. Is that most common cause of this on these? Suggestions? If you jump the car, it fires right up and runs strong withoug dying.
Thats all for now. I just drove it up and down my street and it kicks ***!! I cant wait to get it on the road! Thanks guys. Also. What have you 20v guys suggestion on timing belt intervals?

If it runs strong without dying
your alternator is fine.
Sounds like the battery connection from either positive to the starter or negative to ground might be suspect. But then, where are you attaching booster cables?
If it works with cables, the wiring is likely good.
Remove the wires at the battery, clean the posts, ensure that positive is connected to the positive, negative to negative and re-attach.
Double check the ground wire that it's attached at both the battery and the other end, follow the wire...disconnect, clean, grease with dielectric grease and see how that works...
