Default Picture Friday.....all my cars in sequence 1st to present...

It started back in '95 when I was 14...my dad got sick to the point where he couldn't drive anymore, I had to take over even though illegal until 18...so, I learned on this, 1991 Lada Samara, Russian built car with 1.3L 65hp 5sp FWD, no power anything, even steering - perfect learning platform I think....car was bullet-proof. Only issue I ever had for ~50K kms was cleaning/changing fuel filter every month it seems now. Oh yeah I had to have carbs ultrasonically cleaned once too...
<img src="http://www.ladasite.com/2108-0.jpg">

I then got my driver's license at 18(you can't do it before in Europe like you do here at 16) and got myself something more fun...a '91 Honda Civic, 1.6L 16V but SOHC, so not exactly Si but still good for some 115-120hp....fun and quick around a town little car...great handling...it ended its life when I hit the dog@80km/h....it busted complete front end. It was super cool car back then and back there as VW's, Audi's and BMW's are dime a dozen, so us "cool" kids revert to something different, at least I always liked to.
<img src="http://photos.velocityjournal.com/images/stk/1991/hn1991civic01.jpg">

I then got into something I regret selling even nowdays....'91(I guess I have a thing for 1991's!) Alfa Romeo 33, but not just any 33, it was 1.7L 16V Quadrfoglio(like RS for Audi at that time)...136hp but the best handling car I ever owned. Red on black cloth. Still miss it...

<img src="http://www.cuoresportivo.ch/alfas/33/614x460/33-rot-back.jpg">
I had another one or two before I moved to the States...
Opel Astra GSi, 2.0 16v...quick but nothing special...
<img src="http://www.opel-ig-hannover.de/wir/wir-internet/andre/PA120001.jpg">
And Renault Clio, for about a month or so...
<img src="http://members.lycos.nl/mrclio18rt/hpbimg/cliotuin.JPG">

Once here...I had...
'97 Jetta GT
then my B4 90, and finally the Coupe...oh and 200 Avant 20vTQ for a short period of time.

happy Friday to you all! Have a good weekend and drive safe...I just lost one of the best friends of 23 years in a car accident due to a stupid driver he was riding with. It sucks to be so far too to not be able to attend a funeral either.

Default Thanks. It really does suck.

I want and I'll probaly get one, new A3...eyeing the new Stasis deal....basic A3 with their touch on brakes, suspension, motor and exhaust....very interesting...and all under 30K. Still waiting to see if TDi shows up or any any quattro manual. 993 is somewhere on my list too, hehe.

Default Here's my list....

1) 1982 Audi Coupe - white on grey/blue cloth. Bone stock. Total loss after rear-ending an SUV. Just weeks after a full repaint. Still drove it for two weeks after the accident. This car was mint and as solid as a rock. Still miss it to this day. Paid $1650, got $2100 back.

2) 1985 VW Scirocco - Pewter on grey cloth. Bone stock. Absolutely flawless car. Paid $3200, sold it a year later for $3700 to buy...

3) 1988 VW Scirocco 16V - Red on black leather. Bone stock. This car had a few issues. Fun to drive but a bit of a lemon. Gearbox exploded on the highway in the middle of nowhere once. Seemed I put a lot of money into the car. Paid $2800, sold it three years later for $5500 to buy...

4) 1991 Audi Coupe quattro - Black on black leather. Paid $9400 six years ago. Bone stock when I bought it. Now slightly modified ;-)
