Default Is it possible that AC could have something to do with oil consumption

interesting observation i noted: normally i don't use AC, but when i did oil seemed to be consumed rather quickly. Is this possibly related?

thanks,
matt

Default Yah! The a/c adds extra load/demand on the engine.

Probably worn valve guide seals. At certain low rpm speeds the oil getting past the seals could be quite substantial.

How many miles on you engine?

Could be worn piston compression rings?

The only "test" is mileage. Valve guide seals usually last 60-90,000 miles on average.
