Power locks normal function?
When I lock either the drivers door or the passenger door, everything locks and the alarm is set. However when I try to lock with the trunk, or unlock with the trunk, nothing happens. I noticed a microswitch on the lock, which is activated when the key is fully turned to the right and it is connected into the wiring but not sure how that functions...

Did you look in your owner's manual? On the '88 B3 I had...
...it didn't unlock the doors from the trunk, only allowed you to open/lock the trunk. The front door locks unlocked everything...

That's how it was on my B4 as well. Driver's side front unlocked and locked all doors. Passenger
side front unlocked all doors, but only locked itself. Trunk did neither, but it would disarm and re-arm the alarm if i was just going into the trunk for something without unlocking the passenger compartment

I lock the doors centrally from my driver's door, and the trunk doesn't lock...?????????????????????
