Default rear strut/spring assambley question...

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/pharoah007/DSC01242.jpg" border="0" alt="Image hosting by Photobucket"></a>

I got it all beck in and I still have my weird sound. It *could* be my springs stacking as the paint shows evadence of this.

My queston is...when all tightend down..how much of the threadded part of the strut should be sticking out above the nut?? 1cm? 1 inch? ect...
Mabyee I did not tighten it down enough..I have NEVER used a spring compressor on my rear shocks...can push it down enough to get the bolt on by hand.

Thanks all

Default Tighten the nut all the way down....

A few threads will be showing....

Sound is probably due to the coils rubbing.

Eibach's have a padding. ;O)
