Default Replace battery now my radio is dead...

It's an OEM radio in a 97 Cab. I've STF and read a post that said replacing the battery could blow a 5A fuse that's behind the radio. I'm going pull it and take a look tomorrow, hopefully replacing the fuse will get it to power up.

My other problem is that I don't have the code as the previous owner lost it. I read a post that said the code is on the back of the radio. Is this true? It doesn't sound correct. I think my only option is the dealer, right?

Default ...and would defeat the purpose of having a "security" code, don't you think?

No, they are not all the same.

Default 1 hour is rediculous... several years ago I had to get the code for my A6 and

it only took the dealer a minute to look it up.

Yup, now it's a "flat" charge of 1 hr. of labor and is no longer free.
