RS2 IMPORTATION - REWARD
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/64572/108_0816.jpg"></center><p>
I'm new to this forum, i read previous posts about importation of the RS2 into the U.S. but i did not get any definitive information, except that there are a few in the U.S. (one in Pennsylvania and one in Utah).
If anyone has any information or can put me into direct contact with anyone that has imported or owns an RS2 in the U.S. I would greatly appreciate it.
I also heard of the following: 1)bring the car in as a race car, 2)tuning study, 3) demo, 4) research purposes. if any of this worked please let me know.
The picture is my RS2 presently in Germany awaiting importation.
I can be reached on my cell at: 646-775-1999 EST until 2AM every day (please leave a message if you get my answering machine)
REWARD: I will give a $ub$tantial Reward to anyone that can help me through this. I have imported cars into the U.S. before and i have learned that the law is one thing . . . who you know is another.
Thanks in advance!!

The PA car is no longer on the road from what I gather. The Fed's caught up with it.
The RS4 is easier because that specific chassis (B5 quattro sedan and wagon) was imported, and the basic engine (2.7L 30vtt) was brought in in that chassis. There are ways to get cars in here. The legal ways don't allow you to really drive the car.

what state do you live in ?
It matters. If it was my money the car would come in to Mexico (Puebla - reg routes from Hamburg), driven in on hand carried US plates and papers for a US 1995 90. Then registered in Alabama, MS or the like after the serial # swap. I've seen a firewall vin # swap, looked perfect. Dirt helps. The biggest prob you'll have is duplicating the sticker in the door jamb.
Leave DOT and EPA out of it unless you enjoy wasting time and $. I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep.
