All, I had a question regarding the S2 front bumper conversion I am involved in for my 90 CQ. I received the Euro Kit from VAG parts in the UK and it appears to have all of the parts needed except for a few. I wanted to know if anyone had a part number or advice on the lower front cross member needed that attaches to the new S2 bumper and holds the front motor mount? It is totally different from the OEM one and will not fit part # 8G0805591B that came with the kit and runs down the front center of the car and holds the hood attachment. I am not sure if someone has these parts laying around, if I must order them from Europe, or is aware of a U.S. Spec cross member part will work from another year Audi? Thanks in advance for the input.

I have an S2 bumper on my type 89 90 and it's crossmember did not interfere with the new bumper even after I took off the huge front US bumper absorbers. In fact on my car, the S2 bumper does not come into contact with the crossmember and I had no need to change mounts for the front motor mount.

Does the S2 crossmember attach to the bumper or not?

Thanks for the follow up, I am going to take some pics this weekend to show the forum exactly what I am dealing with and it should explain the situation a bit better. It looks as though the lower crossmember piece needs to be different to attach the S2 bumber properly. I will forsure have to remove the US spec front bumper shocks. I am also adding a hood from a 94 audi 90 and S2 headlights to complete the S2 look, this is also causing a few glitches with the hood release set up. The pics I post here shortly should explain it all much better.
