So I call these folks about polishing those lips and rechroming the bolts for me... ...I get the "we can't quote a price over the phone, we have to see it" deal (from bitchy receptionist), all I want it a rough guesstimate (I'm sure they've done this stuff before...?) "no, we have to see it", fine!

This morning I head way over there and talk to some schmo: $125 each to polish lips, and $3 each to rechrome bolts.

CLOWNS! I can get new lips AND bolts for that price!!!!

The last time I had a set of lips polished it was $120 total...

Some folks just don't want your business... ...wasn't even interested in trying to work something out when I flinched at his quote, 'take it or leave it' attitude. Fine. See ya!

Guess what my new weekend project is?! yeah, I know it's not hard to polish, I just thought with the polishing job, they would then cut me a break on the rechroming of the bolts... ...which I'll now be cleaning up myself (...they're really not THAT bad after all...)

On a good note: the guys at the powder coating shop were very cool, easy going, nice to deal with... ...let's hope the product come out as good! (silver with clear powder coat - rear shells, centers, lug caps - dip cleaned and coated)

Here, you can get a whole dented bent alloy wheel straightened, cleaned, filled in with welding and painted or clear coated for $120 each. Basically whatever it takes to make it straight and true and great looking. Let alone polishing the lip.

Yeah I got $125/wheel for powdercoating before but then searched around and got $35/wheel
