Default solenoid change-over valve clicking

My solenoid change-over valve for the turbo starts clicking rapidly as soon as I turn my key. Pretty sure it didn't use to do this, so I'm wondering if there's something wrong here?
I have this whole "stuttering when off the gas" thing around 2200-2400rpm and I remember reading on some forum that a guy found the solenoid to be the cause.
Any thoughts? Should I replace it (it's not that cheap)?

Default Re: "replace solenoid? "

That is a pretty rare car, least on this forum. Please tell us more about it.

If you can locate the solenoid, then you can test it. Generally, they need to seal and unseal a passage, on command. Can you find a technical description of what it does on your car?
