Sometimes I feel like wanting one of these as a play car. (off topic but WTH..it's friday.)
Call me ricer but it's a neat little fast car and of course except the tailpipe.

Especially fast with a turbo B16 in it.
There's a difference between hating "ricers" and hating "jap cars". I hate ricers, they ruin good cars for everyone. I respect any car that has good performance potential. That's why I can't stand people who won't give the Honda S2000 credit in being an incredible car. The car is 20,000 less than a Boxster and will beat it in almost every aspect, plus won't break down every five miles. I've had the privelidge of driving my friends and it's unbelievable. Hate the ricers, not the cars I say. Hell, even American cars have some good ones out there in the modern times - Grand Nationals, T-Bird Turbo Coupes, Cobras, just to name a few!

yeah....its really just the all show no go cars that we all hate.
Some people have serious mods on their civics and such taht would leave most of our cars in the dust. But obviously they have some knowledge about cars. My personal pet peeve is seeing someone with an auto trans, civic dx 3-door hatchback with 18" chrome wheels and a huge muffler, in the midst of trying to gun their engine to beat out a old guy driving a mini-van, and having a hard time doing so.
Otherwise, I love jap cars. I owned a 5sp accord coupe before my audi, and i loved it. But not as much as i love my audi......

You are so true. I have a neighbor who has a Camry auto with 17's and a super loud muffler. Our development is in steep slope and I can hear him revving going up the hill and then the sudden shift to 2nd or 3rd..it cracks me up..
