Subframe bolt can't be tighten, help!
Right rare subframe bolt became loose and can't be tighten. This causes the front suspension vibrations once I reach 45-50 mph. Apearently, the welded nut inside of the frame broke off and turns when I try to tighten the bolt. Can it be fixed?
Thanks a lot

Re: Subframe bolt, which one?
You'll need to gain access to the nut, by cutting a small enough hole on the side to get at it.
Then after repairing it, weld up the hole.
By chance, you do any metal work? ;o)

Preferably a "round" hole.

Re: The right rear bolt.
Unfortunately, I can't do any metal work, so I will have to find someone to do it for me.
Is there a thick metal to cut there? Can I drill couple of big enough holes to gain access?
Thanks

Re: The right rear bolt.
Best left to a sheet metal experienced person! )
Preferably 1 large round hole. Easier to patch later! )
The car shouldnt be moved with the hole in place.
Any "good" bodyshop should be able to fix for you.

Can I drill a small hole?
Stick a screwdriver there and try to keep the nut from rotating while I am tightening the bolt?
Is that a common problem of Audi's?
Thanks again.
