Default Out of curiousity, do they actually increase power?

I'll buy these as soon as I get some extra cash, I have more important things to tend to right now. If the exhaust doesn't fix my problem, I'll start looking into these things. Thanks Mike.

Its the drivers side cat that is rattling. I am installing high-flow cats.

What is CQ? Oxygen sensor?

My car has a tiny puff of light blue smoke when it shifts. When I rev it hard no smoke comes out.
What causes this?

CQ = Coupe quattro 20v, made for USA market 1990, 1991 only. 1730 CQ's imported for those model years. mine is #292 off the line for 1990M.Y. (including all other markets), built in march 1989.

an O2 sens going bad would not cause the problem you are having. either bad (or going bad) piston rings or valve seals & seats would, i just forget which it is...

there is a recall as audios said for the drivers side cat. if you have already had that recall done and the cat is going bad again then i woudl jsut pound the webbing out and wait til your next emissions test and then go to www.discountcat.com i think the sight is and you can get them for like $210 i think. Miktip has a point about re torqueing your heads. I retorqued mine at 200,000 mile and i now have 205600 miles and I have no more oil leaks and no more coolant burning. it is a risk but usually there aren't problems with the head bolts coming loose again, at eh shop where I work we have done this procedure to dozens of V6's and have never had one come back yet. its up to you and your budget. let me know what you end up doing if i can help out more that will be no porblem.

highly doubt it. it would solve problems related to head gaskets leaking though (once you get new ones). also, if you are gonna use a power adder, then its a good idea to replace those anyway.
