Default Trying to help a budy out. He found a neighbor selling an Audi quattro for $500.

First of all seller says its a Quattro. Personally I have not seen it. He says its a 1995 quattro 5sp. Must be a 90q right? Its $500 because of broken timing belt. What engines did these come with? How much can something like that cost if your on a budget? Maybe fix or get another engine? These are turbo engines right? What are his options. I may have the models mixed up since im into A4's. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There's a model guide up top. Just cursor on "resources" then click model guide

In 1995, chances are is a 2.8L 12-valve normally aspirated motor...assuming you are in the USA.

Default A 95 quattro will be a 90, an A6/200 or an S4. Only the S4 is turbocharged

They are all interference motors so if the T-belt went at speed you are into major motor internals and, most likely a new (used ) motor. Oh, if it's the S4 for $500, snap it up, gold mine of parts.

Default Could also be an A6, still a 2.8l V6. Neither is turbo.

If it's turbo, it could be an UrS6.<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/model/a6/95/95-a6.shtml">https://www.audiworld.com/model/a6/95/95-a6.shtml</a</li></ul>

You mean an S6. It might be a 90, an A6 or an S6.

Too much hassle for that. I looked it up. Must be a V6. Thanks everyone.
