Default Well... another rock, another ding in the exhaust... this one smacked the downpipe....

Hit the pipe hard enough before the collector to crush in the pipe a little bit (no longer round on the one portion). Also created a nice leak at the joint between the manifold and downpipe. Drove all afternoon on some crazy gravel roads figuring I'd cracked the manifold (I hit the rock REALLY hard.... thought i'd hit the tranny at first). So, its leaking now.

Question is... Why? Doesn't look like anything is broken between the downpipe and the manifold flange. Is it possible that I stretched a stud? (really hope not).

Man, this car really needs a decent skidplate and a raised up suspension (gravel tires would be nice too).
