Well guys I'm looking for a buddy for my 20VCQ.....
I've found a 93 90CS, same color outside and inside as my CQ (Black /Platinum). Don't know much about 90"s with 6 cylinder engines and auto trans.
What should I watch out for? Are timing belt changes as important on these cars as the 20V's?
Are they harder to maintain? How about emmisions?
Are these cars single wire or multiple wire oxy-sensors? The AC systems, are they as finicky as my CQ? Thanks for any info provided. My better half will probably use this car since her Scirroco has about run out of steam.

They are 3 or 4 wire O2's like the CQ. Remember that MikTip's FWD Auto is (has been) a 5spd for a while now, I'm going to assume your S.O. will be nice to it, not nearly has heavy footed as I take Mike to be... My sister's '98 Cabrio (automatic) has 50k on it, with no problems, still running on original plugs and wires even (she did loose some coolant for some reason, hasn't happened again). AFA maint, the '95 90q has been pretty good in the 2-3 years I've known it (not my car, but I am around it enough, daily). It does however, have stinky exhaust, similar to my oil burning CQ (still no time for the MC transplant). The '95's AC system (automatic control) seems to be decent, haven't noticed any glitches in it. The '98's manual system is just like any 1988+ manual system, don't ever recall hearing complaints or problems with it.
As always, for the engine stuff, check www.12v.org.
