Well, new(used) Auto transmission gets put in on Tues...
Looked into swapping in a 5 speed, too much work, too much money. Looked into rebuilt boxes...got quotes from $800-$2400. F$#k that. Got lucky and found a low mileage trans out of another 88, car junked because of a bad water pump...can't figure that one out. Anyway, no gear oil in the trans fluid, or trans fluid in the gear oil. Took it for a short drive and no weird noises...shifted solid and where it should. $400. Wish me luck.
