Default Whats up with my alignment???? MAJOR help needed!

so, i had some pretty bad inner tire wear on the rears and the steering wheel is crooked to the left while i drive straight, so i took my '88 90 Q in to les schwab for a four wheel alignment. i made sure to get a print out so i could see the adjustments they made. sure enough, i came back, everything was put in to spec., BUT now, the steering wheel is STILL crooked, but turned to the right while i go straight, instead of the left, and worse yet. whenever i hit little bumps in the road at ANY speed, the car violently swerves, and it feels like i will lose control. i damn near lost it on the freeway tonight. PLUS, when driving about 20, you can hear the tires screeching a little every now and then. so i called them, all pissed off, and im taking it back in tomorrow a.m., to see what they can break next....any ideas? please help. thanks.

Default Violent swerving? Have the control arm bushings been checked?

Tie Rod Ends? Ball Joints?

Violent swerving - if that's what you have - is NOT an alignment issue. It's a serious mechanical defect. Drive it very carefully, if at all, until repaired.

Violent swerving aside, if the alignment is properly done, they should center the steering wheel by adjusting the tie rods appropriately on both side to get the correct alignment with the wheel centered.

Speaking of tie rods, I'm going through that lately. My car was in for alignment and they couldn't break the tie rods loose - rusted solid. More evidence the previous owner's daughter drove it on the beach in Florida! New assemblies are on the way.

The rear alignment sounds way off; both either have too much negative OR positive toe.
