Default '06 Audi A3 Rust

I got this Audi A3 from a relative over the winter and have been driving it now and again. It's a great car and it runs great but there is a massive rust issue on both the front driver and passenger side. I'm not sure what to do with the rust along the bottom of the door under the door blade or the rust that has eaten through the rocker panel trim. I was curious today and partially took off the drivers side door blade and I saw a huge amount of rust. I have been considering purchasing new rocker panel trim (Audi 8P4-809-842) however the price of these seems too high for the overall value of this higher-mileage car. Does anyone on this forum know what I could do to fix this rust? I can weld if I have to.

The main eyesore.

The rust along the door extends underneath the door blade.

Same rust issue on both sides of the car.

Welcome to the forum. There is very little traffic on this board. You may want to post your question on the A3 board.

Thx, I'm new on this forum. Can I just repost it directly over or do I have to remake the post?
