Default 2008 A3 configurations

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* looks like the in-dash 6 cd changer (double din) is no longer a stand alone option. for those that want to retrofit to RNS-E navigation, it's no longer plug and play

*sprint blue is no longer a special order color (i.e. cost the same as other pearl/metallic options

*canada has the option of ordering aluminum or black roof rails

I've seen a pic of an '08 with light grey leather. What is different is that it's two tone grey

Default All radios are double DIN now

Both Concert II+ and Symphony II+ are double DIN with Quadlock and FAKRA connectors which would make the RNS-E retrofit easier. If there wouldn't be a new antenna diverstity system for the radios that is not compatible with the RNS-E and will cause some faults being logged and result under certain circumstances is bad FM reception.

Are you sure it wasn't a 3.2? That's what the premium leather on 3.2 is- called Stone Gray.

Default Re: All radios are double DIN now

Japan now has nav units with hard drives in them, for MP3 play back and whatever else Audi is using it for, which is also rumored to be the new models we should see in other parts soon. I'd like one of those more than the current model.

Sorry to not mention the obvious: Yes it was 3.2. It's about time it came here
