A3 diesel at LA Auto Show???
The New York Times has a video report from the LA auto show that mentions one of the most "green" cars of the show is an A3 diesel that gets close to 50 MPG. Anyone have any details about this??

I just drove my friend's MK IV Jetta TDI 1.9. Not the swiftest thing, but not exactly the slug
you'd expect it to be. It would be lovely if we could get the modern diesel in the A3. I'm sure Audi needs something to offset the corporate mileage from selling all those Q7s;-)

I rented the A3 diesel in Germany
Fell in love with the car so I bought myself the A3 here in So Cal.
Though my gasoline A3 has a bigger ump from 0 the diesel was close behind. But, yes, the mileage is the difference. In Germany I was doing almost 650 miles to the 15 gal tank with the diesel while here my A3 (gasoline) does about 460 miles per 15 gal tank...
