Brake problems - Solution!!???
I have read about the problems most of you guys have with the brakes in wet weather.
I recently read an article in a german magazine "Auto Motor und Sport" dealing with the exact same problem.
The artikle mentions brake problems with all Audi makes and Vw Passats.
It mentions brake problems in very wet conditions combined with low temperatures (melting snow) and wintersalts.
It seems that Audi is indeed aware of a problem with the brakes and have come up with a solution.
It seems that new models will be fitted with special aerodynamic deflectors under the chassis and the underside of front bumber to deflect spray from the brake and calipers.
There is no mention of any retrofit option
Sorry I have no web-link but it could be worthwhile to mention this to the dealer.
The article was printed on page 9 in the november 15th issue of the above mentionned magazine (nr 24/2000).

Ah Ha !!!
Can this be true! Can't read the german I'm afraid, but does this mean I can now relax and stop trying to recreate the problem? Could it actually have been worth waiting for the 2001MY after all!
