I'm running stock pads. IMO fresh brake fluid made the best difference in terms of "feel".

Default Probably so; I did all three together, and once the pads bedded, the improvement was obvious.

More solid, less travel under hard braking.

Default Have you tried the Greenstuff pads for street?

I have used Greenstuff pads from EBC for my past Cadillac,A4's,S4,Honda, and whatever I buy in the future. They rock for heavy street use, Track pads I wouldn't use for street unless you go out Fri/Sat nights to have some "spirited" driving with friends in excess of 100mph+. Once broken in they rock till the very end.
Best upgrade is SS brake lines, EBC Pads, and upgraded brake fluid. As far as rotors go, if you want to keep it stock thats fine, but Brembo, EBC, Zimmerman, and Powerslot produce great quality rotors for Audis.

Lowest prices I've found at www.Perfectbrakes.com
FrontsP21517 Price: $75.92
RearsP21518 Price: $61.36

Default Dust was minmal but it also was dependent on rotors.

With Brembos dust was very heavy, Zimmermans was light, Powerslots light stock was med/heavy dust on my A4/S4s.
