It's a good thing we aren't all forced to buy the same configuration, eh?

Default it'd be even better if we could choose the configuration we wanted, ....

A3 with our personal preferences

choose one:
- front drive
- quattro

and choose one:
- 2.0T
- 3.2 vr6

and choose one:
- DSG
- 6 spd manual

Default My MAJOR beef with DSG...

In "manual" it relies on you to up shift until redline. But it will act like a true auto and downshift in "manual".

My point?
1) It should not upshift at redline..rather it should bang up against the rev limiter all day long until I tell it to upshift in manual mode.

2) It should down**** the gear in manual mode when I want it to, not as the computer see fit. Downshifting in manual mode on it's own is rubbish. In "manual" mode I should expect to upshift when I want, hold the gear as I want, and to control when a downshift should occur as I see fit.

Those two points alone differentiate a manual from an automatic.

I'm bummed that the dsg won't let you rev up the RPMs for powerbraking.
