DSG hesitation between shifts.
Anyone experience this. If you put your foot into it off the line there seems to be a hesitation between all gears 1-6. Strange. I am going to get it look at after christmas. A software problem perhaps.
Anyone experience this?

WTF write a real post...
Try as I may I don't get this site: nobody actually writes a post w/ an actual body & text. Just a bunch of headlines.
-I have 2 DSG cars, a modded A3 2.T and a TT 3.2 as well as lot of experience w/ my BMW SMG autos (E46 M3) trannies so my perspective is:
-hot outside ambient temps as well as extreme cold has a profound effect of DSG's
-DSG programming is very complex
-Driver inputs (throttle, braking & turning) all impact the programmimg. Many if not most "problems" have to do w/ drivers mis-understanding the technology (driving a DSG takes special attention.)
So if you have issues be SPECIFIC about the circumstances (your car is stock? where are you? how do you typically drive? any other DSG quirks ect.) Just spend some time writing a post that maybe describe in MORE detail whats happening & someone w/ will respond IN DETAIL.
-I will venture to say your problem will go away if you shift manually & pay attention to the RPMS (don't over shoot it all the time, shift at WOT on or near 5500 rpm.) See if you can LEARN to sense the best shift points & modulate the throttle to the best advantage.
PS. All DSG 's from time to time have minor glitches, they will go away. If not there's a remote chance your clutch pack is shot (very rare.) If it is it will slip & you should notice this (it's not subtle) in 1-2-3rd at WOT & at higher rpms.)

How about this?
n00b. Does every post have to be an essay? "nobody actually writes a post w/ an actual body...." Sheesh. You obviously haven't read enough around here to "get it".
Sorry that this forum doesn't live up to your high standards.
lol @ "driving a DSG takes special attention". Maybe the SMG, but DSG? Not really, IMHO.
