Default Dyno'd the stock A3 2.0T

Local Audi/VW club had a dyno day on Saturday. I put the week-old A3 up and this is what she pulled:

That's on a dynapack dynamometer - which usually reports lower numbers than your standard rollers and what not.

We were expecting about 170whp (assuming 15% drivetrain loss). Looks like the 2.0T is underrated at 200HP. Not that I'm complaining

Is that 195 hp peak? Is yours a DSG? Either way, not bad.

Default Dynapacks usually read higher not lower

The reason they read a little higher is because they are not wheel numbers.. It is hard to figure out what truely they read they are definitly one of those instances where you can't compare it to any other dynos more so then usual.

The reason they read higher and why they would also need to be calculated back to engine hp differently then standard chassis dynos is because of the lack of rollers.. This means there are no wheels on the car which changes the losses.

Another thing is 15% is high for a FWD transverse for all intesive purposes VW.. They usually come out to about 13.5% on normal roller type dynos.. It would be even less on a dynapack.
