Should I buy from Audi, or a third party, or not at all?

Correct. Make sure to get fresh coverage before the present one runs out, or it's even more
expensive.
Along with checking other sources, check with your dealer service dept or Audi independent as to which warranty company they prefer to work with. They see what companies give the best coverage and are easiest to work with.
