Default What about Base cars? Auto feature too?

I see that in my Base A3 there already exists an ambient light sensor to control the automatic instrument lighting.

Is this the same sensor used for the Automatic-on lights in the other packages? If so, is the euroswitch with the "auto" function going to enable "auto-on" for a Base car?

Default Re: is the lamp already in there too?

YES - the switch is ALL you need to get this working. As I stated in the first post, you MAY require vag-com to activate this new switch. I DID NOT! But all you need to purchase, is the switch! The lamp, wiring, everything is in place.

As far as other part numbers I can not provide them right now. I will do so, asap.

The number in the picture above is for my car which is a premium, with coming home. So that should work for about 1/3 of you.

You really need to get the absolute perfect match here, do not assume anything. There IS a specific switch for you.

email other questions. I am not going to be on the forum for another 3 hours.

That can be enabled via Vag-Com.

You can configure for both rear fogs with a Vag-Com.

Default There's a light sensor in the mirror mount that's for headlight functions.

The sensor in the instrument panel is just for it.

Default Sun is down, here is another pic for you.

<img src="http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a279/iMryanmac/EURO%20SWITCH/rearbulbryana3.jpg">

it appears that both sections of the light are brighter!

FYI. tomorrow I will have part numbers for you.

My contact just looked up the north american
versions of these and there's 13 different choices for the switch, we'll need the euro versions. I'm on it. Sorry for the delay!

Default Again as I asked April, I thought everyone had this type switch

I already have this on my A3 as I explained in a different thread to April. With my bi-xenon order I have all of these options and more. The blank **** next to the dash bightness wheel is the DRL switch (which I also have). The "comming home" switch will eluminate the xenons (not the fogs as April suggests) as the pathway lights for 2-3 minutes. Is it possibel they shipped me a Euro A3 to NJ?

Can someone post a pic of a standard A3 switch.
