My "30-Day" A3 Plan... new owner.
So, I get my car very soon. Here's my 30-Day plan:
1) Wash and Detail with my tenacious eye for the interior, engine bay, etc
2) Dogbone Insert
3) Audi All-Weather Mats
4) Attempt Retrofit of Bluetooth
5) Xenon Retrofit (Halogen housings, Xenon bulbs/ballasts)
6) GTI Pedals
Can anyone shed some light on these ideas, pros/cons, etc?
Down the line is a definite REVO or APR tune, possibly some custom work done as well.

Yeah, those all weather mats are CRAZY!!
APR or REVO seem to be the preferred programs; although, GIAC and Neuspeed also have programs for the 2.0T. Probably can't go wrong with any of them but for some reason I think Neuspeed takes like 2-3 hrs to install, if I'm not mistaken. The APR flash has made an already great engine fantastic! Highly recommended. Big bang for the buck. That and a high-flow filter like ITG or K&N.

I wonder if the dogbone insert will make a noticable difference with no other engine mods?
I installed mine after p-flo air intake and chip and could feel a difference. Especially once combined with the Powerflex front mount bushing.

Two thumbs way up for the dogbone bushing. It reduces axle hop on launch dramatically. Another cheap but good mod is a pair of 21mm polyurethane rear swaybar bushings for about $11. They will increase rear roll stiffness and reduce understeer making for better turn-in and better tracking on line through a corner.
The Xenon retrofit is very $$$. I would hold off on that and do a clearbra instead.
If you have the right steering wheel, then the factory BT upgrade would be the way to go. Otherwise the new HP GPS (and I'm sure others) has Bluetooth built in and you can use it's capabilities without so much as splicing a wire.

I'd also put some vinyl on the lenses and fogs, as well as strip on the top of the rear bumper.
Odd thing: the rub strip is an option in the UK (might be other markets too, cept, I read UK bettar).
Not so sure a true Xenon kit is worth the retro-fit price.

2. even without chip you will feel the improvement; 3. i prefer the euro rubber mats due to
better coverage (especially in the passenger front footwell area) and better styling (subjective); 6. you would need the MKII TT dead pedal to complete the set if you want to have the whole aluminum look....good luck and have fun!
