Default Audi has not said that it will be bringing the S3 to the United States.

Seeing as it is in the 3-door version it is unlikely it will be brought over in its current incarnation. Only the 5-dooor sportback is available in the United States. I would love this car as well. Go to Audi's site and ask them to bring it over...here...

Default I dont think it would be hard for audi to make a sports back S3.

They seam to be tooled for the production already given that they make a 2.0t Quattro already for Europe.

I always thought it was the gas tank certification holding everything up.

May-be Audi is waiting to see how some of the other car manufactures are doing in the U.S. with high performance hatch backs before they spend the money to get it over here. They need to just do it! The competition is already heating up in the US.

I agree completely. But like you say...the 2.0t has not been certified with the Haldex system. Thus far they have stuck with the 3.2 and Haldex with it already certified for the 3.2 TT and R32. I say give it some time.

Default It's just that at this time, the 2.0T with Quattro is only available with a 6 speed manual.

Since Audi sells A3 over 70% with DSG, and it would cost Audi $$$$$ to certify this combination for the U.S, that is the reason why we don't get the 2.0T with Quattro and we won't get the S3...
