Default The website is still showing the (B7) A4 on the "Build Your Own" site.

Everything I've read indicates the US will only be getting the new A4 Avant with the 3.2(V6) and revised tiptronic transmission. As it stands now, Audi doesn't offer a car I would consider buying. DSG/S-tronic hasn't won me over and refuse to buy another automatic.

Default Bummer. Time to move to a new brand.

Last 6 cars I've owned have been either VWs or Audis. It's really too bad I have to go buy something else.

Default 328xi and 9-3 X Sportcombi offer a stick, but expect to order. Volvo does not offer one

on the V50 T5 wagon. The old body style got a manual option.

I had a friend look for a 330 w/ sport package and stick. Despite being in BMW central (California), the car had to come from 3 states away, and he paid the extra shipping of course.

The BMW and Saab both start at around $42K. The Volvo $32K.

Default I agree, Audi should stop making FWD cars. Either AWD or RWD

look at any reputable car company and you'll see FWD is just not in their plans and never will be.

I find it easier to control the RWD car in snow then FWD. It's just too weird since steering is in front and wheels go where they want..

Default That's why there's BMW and other competitors

If rear-wheel drive and/or a manual transmission are important for you, then you should look elsewhere. Back in 2006 I purchased a BMW 330 convertible over an A4 convertible simply because Audi wouldn't offer a manual transmission.
Start looking around; Audi doesn't have a lock on the German performance car market. Don't get me wrong, Audi's are great cars and I've driven many, but there is more out there. Sorry.

Hmmm, depends where you live. The Colorado dealers stock BMW (even Wagons) w/ stick, same w/ Volvo.

Default You might want to buy one of those Volvos! Edmunds shows no manual option for the current V50

Default 75% to 80% of all Audis sold worldwide are FWD. Have been to some degree since the

early 1930s.

Default "I find it easier to control the RWD car in snow then FWD." Really?

How much driving in either RWD or FWD do you have in snow? You must have a lot, as having seen a decent amount of snow in my life, and having owned both RWD and FWD cars, I have yet to meet any person who is better in RWD in snow than FWD.

Default Re: "I find it easier to control the RWD car in snow then FWD." Really?

I've had a 300zx twinturbo for about 7 years and drove it in the winter without any problems and enjoyed it!

FWD is for soccer moms , I wish they had an option for 2.0T AWD, but it would most certanly kill the gas mileage.
