Pricing on new MY06 and MY07 models
I'm looking to get an new A3 within the next two weeks. What should I expect to pay for MY06 cars, keep in mind that MY07 are starting to show up at the dealers. Am I crazy for asking under dealer invoice?? Am I better of negotiating a better deal for MY07?
Can someone suggest a good dealer in LA? Thanks for your help!

Unless the specific car has trunk money from AoA, dealers won't lose money to sell a car.
Inventory of '06s must be getting light, and the '07s that are arriving are the special order cars, not general inventory from what I can gather. Not sure when general inventory will be showing up.

Re: Pricing on new MY06 and MY07 models
Hi, i just got my 06 last week. i don't think it's TOO crazy to ask for under invoice price for the 06. you should give it a try. there's a $1500 rebate on selected 06s (with cars with early VINs), but if you take the rebate, you won't get the special financing. see earlier threads on this forum about this.
so i got mine for close to 1800 under invoice. but it could be a car sitting in the lot for a while they were trying to get rid of. mine has close to 100 miles on it when i got it.
i used the tools from http://www.carbuyingtips.com/car4.htm to get a reasonable and negotiable price. then send emails to all the dealers in my area. fortunately for me, i got some replies, it worked out.
good luck.

I used to work with him for several years. He's helped a lot of friends. No financial connection
in the slightest. Just a recommendation the same as anybody else who has a person or dealer who has treated them well :-)
