rear hatch problem
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/5987/100_3564.jpg"></center><p>Just the other day my center display showed that the rear hatch was open. I closed it again and it was closed, still get the message. I also try the rear wiper and it doesn't work either. The car doesn't beep when I lock the car but that makes sense because it doesn't sense that the rear is closed. Any idea what the problem is? I am out of warranty.

Is it something you can attend to yourself or is a replacement part necessary?
On my former TTQR, the soft top closure sensor would bend over time, creating a slight gap that would fool the OBC to conclude that the top wasn't closed (and thus mess up window positions). Turns out you could easily bend it back into place with a screwdriver.

It would really depend if it ws a matter of the tab bending or the sensor itself bad
it would be in the upper part of the hatch, the actual door part. You would need to replace more then likely the entire latch assembly as the switches seem to be coming built into them lately.
